On the way out of Seattle earlier this week, we stopped at Wal-Mart to take a look at bikes. Lily did so good on the 22 miler that we decided to upgrade her bike and start planning the 32 miler. She found this sky blue beauty and has been peddling around Milo McIver State Park, southeast of Portland, OR, this week. We aren’t really planning a longer ride but there are miles and miles of trails around here to explore so maybe.
Milo McIver State Park is right on the Clackamas River. Jake and Kelsey joined us here, too. They spent a few days working at Orcas Island and then decided it was not really going to work out for them. They are headed south and looking for something else. Portland looks like tons of fun but so far we haven’t done much except get a parking ticket. We parked in downtown Portland to hang out at the library and catch up with email. We paid the required parking fee and returned to find a $50 ticket for not displaying the receipt on the sidewalk side of the vehicle’s dash. errr. Thanks, Portland.
