I had a really good time on Saturday because it was the chocolate tour. It was not a factory or business. It was a family in their home and they did it for tourists. There home was a open air home with dirt floors.
Some of the girls made bracelets and I got one. (the chocolate was the best.) We got to make the chocolate. The steps were: roast the chocolate, then grind it, then add a little bit of water, cinnamon, and a lot of sugar then eat.
Before they made the chocolate, they showed us the cocoa plant with the white beans. We got to eat a wet cocoa bean before it was roasted. As we were chewing, the person said, “Don’t swallow.” OOPS. Jerry had already swallowed and he worried all day. It was a new experience to me and I think my parents liked it.
Good job on the blog Lily. How did the kitty chocolate taste? Have fun and learn a lot so you can tell me all about it.
Lily!! What a great story!! It made me imagine I was there with you! I wish we could grow the beans here!
