Yesterday I did boat chores. I polished the stainless steel in the cockpit. Dad said I could either do school or boat chores. I said chores. So I helped him with the sail washing and cockpit polishing. We wash the sail by putting it on deck and scrubbing it fold-by-fold. My favorite boat chore is cooking in the galley. I like to cook scrambled eggs and pancakes.

Also yesterday, Raul came to Nana Juana so we went to get the extension for the boat. After that I got my new writing book and wrote about Gidget going on a skiing trip with Gidget’s best friend, Cherry. Then when I went out and read the first chapter, Mom said, “Lily there’s Gidget’s boat Outlandish!” And yes, there it was.
